Bon, j'avoue qu'il n'y a rien d’excitant aux photos montrant des toiles. Je ne suis pas certaine que les corrections susciteront beaucoup plus d'intérêt, mais qu'à cela ne tienne, il y aura peut être des gens pour qui ces commentaires seront utiles. Tout de suite après la publication de ces fantastiques photos de pantalons en construction, je me suis lancé dans les corrections afin de ne rien oublier. En voici les points principaux.

I have to admit that muslin picture are never ever triggering lots of enthousiastic reactions. But I felt I had to show them, what if someone needs them some day? Right after posting those unflattering pictures, I went on with all the pattern corrections I had to make. Here are the main ones I made.

Plus d'espace pour les cuisses, more room for my thighs

Afin d'éviter les plis horizontaux à la fourche (avant), j'ai du ajouter 1 cm d'aisance pour les cuisses à l'avant et à l'arrière. Ce qui au total équivaut à 2 cm de plus à chacune des cuisses.

To avoid the horizontal folds in the front crotch, I lengthened of 1cm both front and back crotch point. With this correction I have 2cm of extra room on each thigh. 

Correction à la taille dos - Back waist correction

La deuxième correction réalisée consiste à retirer 6 cm de tissus en trop à la taille et cela uniquement dans le dos. En divisant le tout sur 8 coutures (coté droit, 2x centre de la jambe droit2, 2x centre dos et 2 x centre jambe gauche et coté gauche) je devais retirer 0,75 cm à la taille et me fondre dans la ligne initiale quelque 24 cm plus bas. Ciel j'ai l'impression d'être hermétique dans mes explications. Sur la toile, le résultat était parfait.

The second correction I had to make was to remove 6 cm of fabric in the back waist area. Divided by the 8 seam allowances present in the back only (right side seam, 2x center right leg seam, 2x center back seam, 2x center left leg seam and left side seam), I had to remove 0,75 cm at the waist and tapper to zero some 24 cm lower. On the muslin, the result was perfect.

 Après toutes ces corrections, j'étais prête pour tailler le "vrai" tissu. Il s'agit d'un lin léger dans le brun chocolat. Avez-vous déjà cousu un pantalon avec autant de pièces?  Il manque les pièces de doublure en plus.

All of those corrections made, I cut the "real" fabric...  which is a neat brown light weigh linen...  I know, it will wrinkle... but with style as I like to say. Have you ever cut a pair of pants with all those pieces? I am even missing all lining pieces here!


J'ai presque oublié une correction de patron - I almost forgot one pattern correction

Ces pantalons comportent deux pinces avant. Une se trouve dans la couture de milieu de la cuisse et l'autre se trouve dans la poche. En cousant ma toile, j'ai décidé de retirer celle présent dans la poche. Comme l'ajustement du devant me convenait, j'ai maintenu cette correction pour la version finale.

Those pants have two front dart, one in the centre leg seam and the other one in the pocket. Since the muslin had a great fit without the pocket dart, I kept this correction for the fashion fabric. The welt pocket is then strait. The one in the pattern presents a curve.

J'avance vraiment bien depuis que les poches sont terminées. J'ai tellement hâte de porter ce pantalon !!!Le reste viendra très bientôt.

 After finishing those pockets, the rest is coming along realy fast. I am so much looking forward wearing those pants !!! You will have new very soon.
