McCalls 4381 - The graduation day

15 h 21

Though it has been finished for almost three months, I did not take the time to post a picture of my Chinese silk top before now. I made this top for my son's high school graduation. The top is worn with a silk skirt that has a golden shine to it.

I am not used to wear pale colours like those. Though I love both pieces, I am not certain that I will wear them together very often. I am planning on sewing my self a pair of cigarette pants in burgundy velvet and on in dark brown to wear with the top. Since I am not a great fan of short sleeves, those might disappear one day. Wouldn't that top be more elegant sleeveless ?

The skirt is lovely with a white or black shirt. Banana Republic sells those classic woman's shirt that give my skirt a little House of Card type of flair... without the mean side for me ;-) As soon as DH has a bit of time for picture, I will show more picture of both pieces on me.

Details of the fabrics are HERE

I agree that, with your great arms, a sleeveless would have been chic.
